Greene Tweed Launches The Right FITT

Greene Tweed launched The Right FITT, a multi-year manufacturing strategy for Industry 4.0.
The plan includes new equipment, data integration systems and controls, and three-phase maintenance improvement plan with a goal of zero equipment stoppages. Under The Right FITT (Factory Innovation and Technology Transformation), Greene Tweed engineers can make product adjustments inline in real time, and customers can track orders in real time.
“Critical to the success of The Right FITT™ is embracing the new technology to better support our customers,” said Fernando Torres, Senior Manager of Global Manufacturing Strategy, Greene Tweed. “This is the future of manufacturing.”
Data integration will include digital inventory controls and cloud computing by augmenting modules to the current SAP systems at all manufacturing locations, and new equipment will include robot and co-bot technology.
